Gold Work Faberge Egg

Creating a beautiful art deco gold work Faberge egg inspired piece.

It introduces students to the fundamentals of padding and cutwork, along with couching and chipping. The piece is stitched on dupioni silk using gutermanns threads.

This course is suitable for beginners or a more intermediate sewer.

The kit for the gold work faberge egg includes –  Felt for padding, soft string, beeswax for cutwork padding, silk dupion and calico,  gold couching threads such as, japan thread, twist and rococo, along with goldwork wires  including pearl purl, smooth purl and bright check. Sewing thread, needles and a mini velvet board are also include. A full set of written instructions is also included.

It is also recommended that you bring a pencil and note paper to class as well for any note you would wish to make.

Booking Process

There will be plenty of time to ask the tutor any questions during the sessions. In advance of the class all preparation information will be emailed  to you,  Along with and invitation to join the class on the day.

Your zoom link will be sent a minimum of 48 hours prior to the class and will be sent to the email address you booked the class with. if you don’t receive it, please check your junk mail or spam folders to see if its there.

The Kit will be posted out to you in advance  and includes all the materials needed.

The only things you will need are a 10 inch ring frame, stand or seat attachment and your embroidery scissors.

Attendees Outside the UK This class will run from 6pm – 8pm (18:00 – 20:00 hours) UK local time.
