This stunning class introduces students to the more complex techniques and stitches in the crewel work technique. Creating this stitch sampler crewel work piece introduces students to the fundamentals of crewel work stitches, along with exploring tension, texture, and coverage. The piece is stitched on linen twill, using a selection of Appletons wools. There are several colourways to choose from.

The finished piece measures 25 x 19cm and would make a great box lid, cushion front or bag panel if you were seeking to make a practical item, or simply a beautiful framed piece of artwork for your wall.
